Dr. Ellen Pearce is a highly accomplished periodontist, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of periodontics through research and education. Her extensive clinical training includes a wide range of procedures such as osseous surgery, crown lengthening, implant placement, and various forms of sedation, showcasing her comprehensive expertise in periodontal treatments.

Dr. Pearce earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2021, where she graduated at the top of her class with a perfect GPA. She continued her education, spending 3 years earning her Postdoctoral Master of Science and Certificate in Periodontology from the prestigious UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Her academic excellence was recognized through multiple awards, including the prestigious American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award and the Dr. Elliot Brodie Award for Clinical Competence. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society and was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient.

Prior to her dental education, Dr. Pearce completed a Post-baccalaureate Premedical Certificate at Columbia University, achieving a perfect GPA, and earned a B.A. in Archaeology and Anthropology with First Class Honors from the University of Oxford. At Oxford, she demonstrated leadership as the President and Women’s Captain of Boats for the Keble College Boat Club.
Dr. Pearce is also an active researcher. Her research includes examining the effect of dexamethasone on short-term patient response, comparing intravenous and submucosal administration, a literature review on CBCT incidental findings, published in the Pennsylvania Dental Journal, and an undergraduate dissertation on changing dental health patterns among ancient populations.
An active member of the professional community, Dr. Pearce is affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southwest Society of Periodontists, and the American Dental Association.
