Replace Missing Teeth With Dental Implants
Dental implants are considered the gold standard in replacing missing or failing teeth due to their benefits towards health, aesthetics and function. Drs. Gregory Toback and Marianne Urbanski are periodontists skilled in placing dental implants in Waterford, CT. Our team is able to place single, multiple and even full-arch dental implants to restore your mouth and improve your smile and oral health. Without replacing missing teeth with dental implants, patients typically suffer from many health and lifestyle impediments, including jaw bone deterioration and a restricted diet. Dental implants can return patients to the quality of life they had before tooth loss thanks to their many benefits, including:
Our Dental Implant Process
When performing your dental implant surgery, we will always begin with a consultation to discuss your smile goals and use a 3D cone beam CT scan to understand the unique structures of your jaw and plan the implant placement. Using this information, we will carefully place the implant post into your jaw by drilling a hole at the location of missing teeth, being cautious to avoid important structures. After the implant has been placed, it can take two to six months for recovery and a dental crown will be permanently attached to provide a natural look and bite.
Drs. Toback and Urbanski have years of periodontal experience and are the professionals when it comes to the hard and soft tissues of the mouth. We understand the complex structures of the mouth and utilize advanced technology to provide our patients with successful dental implant placement for those with missing teeth. Patients who experience dental anxiety or fear often benefit from our use of sedation dentistry, including IV sedation, to give them a relaxing and virtually pain-free implant experience.
