Undergoing Wilckodontics® Treatment
You will be undergoing surgery that alters the bone tissue. Since we need to remove some of the alveolar bone, or bone surrounding the teeth, we typically perform this procedure under local anesthesia.
The bone starts to mineralize within 20 to 55 days, which makes this an ideal time to place braces. The teeth move quickly during this phase because the bone tissue is softer.
You will work with an orthodontist for adjustments throughout your treatment to ensure your new smile is shaping up as planned.
Once the process is complete, the bone will then regenerate and solidify, keeping your teeth in their new position.
